Konnichiwa Everyone! Hope you all are having a great week!
Our 2014 ‘Ohana Tour concludes tonight in Sapporo, Japan with a show at Kraps Hall in Susukino. We have already had a lot of success in Yokohama, Tokyo, and Nagoya, and look to go out with a BANG up north!
The weather up here is much colder than Tokyo. I think last night got down to the low-30s, and they are expecting snow showers all day today covering most of Hokkaido island! It doesn’t look like we are going to get the kind of snow we saw last year, but hopefully we get a little! It certainly feels cold enough with the blistering wind cutting through our clothing!
Tonight’s show will also be attended by our Hawai’i ‘Ohana, joining us from home. In partnership with JTB, we brought up about 20 “superfans” from home to join us in Tokyo and Sapporo! After tonight’s show, we will be joining them as they finish their tour north of here, in a traditional Japanese onsen, before we all head home on Sunday! It’s a really good group of people, who seem to be having a really good time!
Besides all that group stuff and on a personal note, I’m excited and nervous for tonight’s show. We haven’t played at Kraps Hall before, and I’m not sure the type of crowd that will be joining us! I do know that in previous trips to Sapporo, the people have been so warm and inviting, so I hope that goes the same for tonight! Sapporo overall is one of my favorite places in Japan, so I hope we can give them a great show and rock the stage tonight!
Kanpai!
