Aloha, everyone. There’s a new angel in heaven this morning … my mother Edith passed away peacefully last night at the age of 91. She was the best mom, grandma, and great grandma anyone could ever ask for, and losing her has left a big void in our hearts. But even though the sorrow is great, I thank the Lord that her suffering is now over and she is finally reunited with Dad. Next week would’ve been their 66th wedding anniversary so I guess she just got tired of celebrating it alone! That’s mom …
I want to take this opportunity to thank Bobbie and the rest of the wonderful staff at Arcadia for taking such good care of mom … you guys are awesome! And though our experience with Hawaii Hospice was brief, I can’t thank them enough for the love and care they showed us .. mahalo!
And finally, to my mother, I’d like to say one last thing before I end: “Don’t worry about us, mom … we’ll be fine. A hui hou … and go easy on Dad!”
