How NOT To Pose For A Photo

Aloha everyone! Hope you’re all having a great July! It’s been a couple of weeks since I last posted, but I have been on vacation, enjoying some relaxation and being cut off from the world! Now I’m back, re-energized, and ready to go!

First, I was honored to be a part of Sarah Kamalei’s new hula DVD production. Her team asked me to help film, which I was happy to do, and we got some beautiful views of Hawai’i. She doesn’t have an exact date for release, but as soon as she does, we will let you know! It actually features the music of Alx as well, so it should be a top-notch DVD!

Next, here’s a picture I stole from Alx’s instagram account! I wanted to show it because I want to thank all of you for supporting us and this event! This was our 7th year performing for this event, and while this picture only shows about a third of the final crowd size, I think this was the biggest crowd we ever had!

Next, some photos from my vacation! I took a round-about way of getting up to my final destination, but I love to fly and travel, so it was not a big deal for me. Plus, on the way up to the mainland, I captured this picture from my Hawaiian Air flight. This is why I’m so lucky to live Hawai’i.

During a recent trip overseas, Nick snapped this photo of clouds covering O'ahu's east shore.

Once I got to my destination, I promptly got in a car and headed for no-man’s land. This particular adventure took me to a lake in central Oregon, where I was able to camp overnight on a houseboat and sleep under the stars! Here’s a photo from that houseboat during sunset! Thanks to my old (and new) friends for making all this happen!

Finally today, I leave you with this picture. I took it while in Los Angeles, at Stan’s Donut Shop in Westwood. Notice anything awesome?

Customer Service is Key!

Haha, I just thought this picture was awesome. I realize that selling donuts for a living might not be her first choice of a “dream job,” but c’mon! Between her posture, and actual service when we bought donuts, she won my award for terrible customer service! Plus, I think she posed like this on purpose for my photo! Haha. How about you? Do you have any awesome stories you can share about customer service!?

It’s been a wild past 3 months for myself, and I’m learning a lot as I go along. As always, I’m so grateful for all your support of myself and the band, and hope to see you around soon!

ALOHA!
Nick
