‘Morning, all ….

Didn’t feel like posting a blog yesterday … especially since it was 9/11.  I can remember waking up that September morning to news that the World Trade Center was being attacked.  As the first tower burned I saw another jet fly into the 2nd tower minutes before both towers collapsed, killing thousands.  Like the Kennedy assassinations, this act of terrorism changed my life along with millions of others around the world … the perception of a safe and secure world was no more.  We had re-entered the Dark Ages.  Then last year’s awful earthquake and tsunami in Japan followed by the Fukushima nuclear disaster on March 11th … and what is with the 11th day of the month?!  9/11, 3/11 …

Anyway, as you can probably tell from my attitude yesterday was the absolute PITS.  Everything that could go wrong did – in spades!  Business sucked, meetings REALLY sucked, and at the end of the day I got some bad news from a family member.  I sure hope today’s a better day … don’t know if I can survive another one like yesterday!

On a brighter note, tonight (Japan time) Alex performs his first solo live ever in Yokohama, Japan.  I’m both proud and very apprehensive … it’s like watching your child take his first steps!  I know he’ll do well and it’ll be a great experience … go get ’em ALX!  I want to send a big MAHALO! out to all of you who will be there to support him tonight … please give him our love and aloha since we can’t be there!

Hope you all have a wonderful day … please take care!

Aloha, “D”
