A very “Happy Aloha Friday” to you all! It’s the start of the 4th of July weekend and there’s a ton of stuff happening here in Honolulu. There are parades, festivals, and fireworks displays all over town culminating with the giant fireworks show at the Ala Moana Center on the 4th so I hope you get to enjoy some of the activities … that is, if you can handle the traffic gridlock and tons of people! And our IOLANI on Kona St. store will be open all day on Monday, July 4th, so if you want to avoid the shopping center crowds and gridlock, come on down for a nice, relaxing shopping experience! 🙂
ManoaDNA also has a full schedule on tap .. Lulu’s tonight, Kani Ka Pila tomorrow, and a private event on Sunday. I should be pretty wiped out by then, so I’m glad we don’t have any performances on the July 4th holiday. We also have to go back in to the recording studio tonight to put the finishing touches on our new single release “FEEL THE LIGHT” which we hope to have completed in time for our upcoming July tour, so stay tuned for that one … it’s gonna be great!
Had a blast at yesterday’s Thursday golf outing even though I shot an 86. The score wasn’t so bad because I took a 9 on the par-4 #14 hole when I hit the wrong ball (2-stroke penalty) and also took a drop from the water hazard (1-stroke penalty). I usually get a par or a bogey (5) on that hole so if not for that blow-up, the rest of my game was pretty much decent – finally!
That’s about it for now … have a great day!
Aloha, “D”
