Luke Sky”watcher”

Good morning!

I think our dog, Peanut, just discovered that there’s a whole new world above his 2-foot height.  He now walks around looking up at the ceiling all the time so I gave him the name of “Luke Sky-watcher” (like the Star Wars character, Skywalker, except he looks more like Chewbacca the Wookie).  Maybe he’s feeling a disturbance in The Force …

Except for one meeting, yesterday was pretty mellow so I spent most of it trying to go through the huge pile of papers and documents on my desk.  The worse part is that a lot of this stuff is important and needs to be filed.  I can’t just dump it, so I end up organizing them into neat little piles, which eventually becomes one big pile, which then ends up back on my desk where the whole process starts all over again!  @#%#*!!

ManoaDNA has begun its preparations to return to Japan next month for the Aloha Yokohama Festival.  And since this will be the middle of the summer, it’s going to be very hot & humid – in fact, they’re predicting that this will be one of the hottest summers on record!  Add in the possibility of power shortages as a result of the ongoing Fukushima nuclear crisis and it’s not a pretty scenario.  Better pack a lot of dri-fit shirts and shorts!

So if you happen to be in the Waikiki area this weekend, come and join us at Lulu’s (Fri.) or Kani Ka Pila Grille (Sat.) for some great food, music, and cool island breezes!!

Aloha, “D”
