Lunchtime!

Just finished another busy morning doing an interview and photo shoot for the IOLANI store.  Also met with our buddy Tony Conjugacion who brought down several retro IOLANI shirts which he’s letting us use for store display.  Pretty cool stuff!  Afterward, we went downstairs to have lunch at Side Street Inn which just reopened for lunch.   Carla and I had the chicken katsu plate while Tony C had the stuffed ahi … so ono!  You guys have to come visit the original Side Street Inn here in our building next to the Ala Moana Shopping Center.  They serve both lunch & dinner and their food is real local style comfort food.  They’re opening up another location on Kapahulu Ave. but to me their original location is still the best!

At least today’s not as hectic as the last two days, and I might even have time to go for a run down by the Kakaako waterfront park this afternoon.  I haven’t been able to play squash because of work, but also because my left elbow was starting to hurt.  I think I’m gonna lay off squash for the rest of this week and see whether it heals … I tell you, it sucks getting old!

Aloha, “D”
