Good (yawn!) morning … boy, am I tired! We had a fun time at Pakele Live last night and I hope you guys enjoyed the music! It was nice to see our pal Kama Hopkins of Holunape in the audience … he’s running for OHA trustee and we wish him the best of luck! I also want to send a big mahalo out to my pal Susan Sunderland of Mid-Week and the Star-Advertiser’s John Berger for dropping by along with our pals Misa, Sae, Shion, Kuniko, Leland, Sarae, and Naoko (who just flew in from Japan the day before). And last but not least, to my wonderful family who’s always there to support us – thank you!
Afterward, we went over to Sorabol to eat some Korean food – I had bi bim kook soo, a spicy, cold noodle dish with beef & vegetables tossed mixed in. Although I ordered it mild, it was still very spicy but so ono. But my favorite part about eating Korean food are the vegetable side dishes that come with the meal – I mean, there must be at least 6 or 7 different dishes – kim chee, cucumber, radish, taegu .. you name it. The downside to a late-night meal like this is the morning after .. if you know what I mean! 😉
Well, I struggled with my golf game again yesterday afternoon … shot an 88! Thank goodness everybody else also shot bad scores so I ended up winning a few bucks. My wrist is a little stiff and sore this morning, but at least it’s not as bad as it was last week. I guess I just have to “gut it out” and hope that it eventually will get healed ….
Aloha, “D”
