Aloha friends! I know, I know … I’m sorry I missed Thursday’s entry! I was on the go from 6:30am yesterday and didn’t get home until 7pm. Then our internet connection started doing some weird stuff so I couldn’t access our website to input my blog! Anyway, the reason we were up so early was that we did a video shoot out in Waimanalo for a 2010 promotion campaign. Waimanalo is indeed God’s country … it’s so beautiful out there with beautiful beaches and the majestic Ko’olau mountain range right in your backyard! We did the shoot on the beach – playing our instruments and lip-syncing to our new song OUR HAWAI’I – and then took some candid shots of us playing in the backwash. Naturally, we got a little wet and it looked like I had an “accident” in my walk shorts!
After that I dropped by the KoAloha Ukulele factory where Alan & Herb Jr. were barbecuing lunch for the staff. Whoooo .. Jr.’s ribs and Alan’s filet mignon were out of this world! SO ONO!! These guys should open up their own lunch wagon ‘cuz boy can they cook!
And since it was Thursday (yup, golf!), I joined my buddies in the afternoon for our usual Thursday golf battle. I don’t know what’s going on with my swing lately … I can’t seem to hit a consistent shot. Luckily, the other guys were also having some problems, so we all sucked.
Interesting note: I was telling my Florida friend about the sport of cock-fighting hear in Hawai’i, and he said they had the same thing down in Florida but that they were called “chicken-struggles”. What the … ?!?!
Aloha, “D”
Aloha!!
I was waiting for your blog!! haha(^^)
Happy Aloha Friday!!
