Boy, is it WINDY this morning! I can hear the gusts coming down the valley like the roar of an oncoming train! I guess the roofers and roofing supply companies will be very busy for the next few weeks!
I’m going to go see a chiropractor today – I took a hard fall yesterday while playing squash. My neck, back, and butt, are pretty sore this morning, and my right index finger is badly sprained. But the worst part about the whole thing is that I didn’t win the game point! At least if I had won the point it would have made the injuries worth it!
MAHALO!! I took my good friend, Takashi, over to KoAloha Ukulele yesterday to buy a uke. President Alan Okami met us and had hand-picked a couple of beautiful soprano ukes for us. Takashi also got to meet Alan’s parents, Alvin and Pat Okami, who founded the company. For those of you who are not familiar with KoAloha, they are one of Hawai’i’s premier ukulele manufacturers and have been great friends and supporters of ManoaDNA. The Okamis are ohana to us and we really love those guys!
Aloha, “D”
