Happy Aloha Friday!

Aloha, friends!

It’s Friday and another busy weekend is upon us.  Besides our regular performances at Lulu’s and Kani Ka Pila, we also have a wedding to attend tomorrow.  Our good friends’ daughter, Minori, is getting married here in Hawai’i and my family and I were graciously invited along with a small group of guests who are flying in from Japan to join the festivities.  And later that evening, everyone will be coming down to the Kani Ka Pila Grille to continue this joyous celebration with ManoaDNA!

I had an awful day on the course yesterday … shot a 90!  And I can’t blame the weather because the day was beautiful with no rain or strong winds.  I just sucked!  My partner, Sam, and I got taken to the cleaners by the other teams … and it was a good thing we only had one group because if all of the guys had shown up, we would’ve had to mortgage our houses to pay off our bets!  And to give you an idea of how badly we played, Sam and I took a 10 and 8 respectively on hole #18!  We hit so many balls into the adjacent canal that we must’ve raised the water level at least an inch or two!  Hahaha!  Oh well, everyone has a bad day once in a while … I just hope my next one is a looooooong way off!

I am such a chocolate freak … I just love it!  People keep giving me all kinds of chocolates – M&M’s, See’s, Godiva .. you name it – and I keep stuffing it in my face!  Sarah is especially evil .. for Christmas and birthdays, she always brings over a box of the See’s Nuts & Chews mix – and oh my god, that is the BOMB!  I can easily consume the whole box in a day or two!  The way I look at it, though, is I probably won’t be able to eat this stuff the older I get, so I may as well enjoy as much of it as I can now!  How stupid and lame does that sound?!!  LOL!

Aloha, “D”
