Back in Tokyo!

Aloha, peeps! Boy, this trip’s been hectic – we flew in to Tokyo from Sapporo yesterday afternoon and immediately headed over to the Big Sight convention center for a reception at the Hawai’i booth. I love the JATA World Trade Expo … it’s a gathering of different countries from around the world trying to market tourism. You can get a quick overview of things to do and see in countries such as China, Iran, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Abu Dhabi, etc. … very cool! We’ll be performing today on the main stage first, and then at the Hawai’i booth for two shows. Sarah will be joining us today as our dancer so it’s gonna be a blast!

But my favorite part of this whole convention is the Ghana sandwich booth! As I’ve shared with you guys in my previous blogs, this stuff is awesome! We must eat at least several of these delicious pita sandwiches every day!

i had dinner with my good friend, Kawasaki-san, last night along with Yumi-san, Kobayashi-san, and our manager, Ann. The dim sum was delicious and I really enjoyed spending time visiting with these special friends! Mahalo, Makoto-san!

Well, it’s time to get ready for another full day … we leave early this morning for the venue so I have to start getting ready. But first, we’re going to have a good breakfast here at the hotel … and their buffet has my beloved natto!! Hahaha!

Aloha, “D”
