KoAloha Celebration recap

Hi everyone!  We had a really nice  time last night at the Pakele Lounge in the Ala Moana Hotel performing for the KoAloha Ukulele celebration on Pakele Live!  Besides ManoaDNA, featured performers included ukulele virtuosos Herb Ohta Jr., David Kamakahi, and Gordon Mark, who accompanied KoAloha founder, Alvin Okami, in a very special performance.  Our buddy Tony C and Pakele LIve creator Pali Ka’aihue, along with his band “Pali”, also put on great performances last night.  Many thanks to soundman DJ Pratt, Pali, Tony Solis, Brad Kawakami, and the rest of the Pakele staff for a job well done!

We and Tony got to perform our new medley of DOWN IN PARADISE and KA BEAUTY A’O MANOA which we first performed at last year’s Na Hoku Hanohano Awards.  Because we received so many requests for the song, we decided to record this version and include it in our new CD due out this Spring.

We’ll be at Lulu’s tonight and then head on over to the Big Island tomorrow.

I’m sorry I couldn’t watch Pakele Live:( But my friend Tomomi was there and told me “They sang your favorite song “If I Ever”;D”. She was also at Lulu’s! We were e-mailing at that time. Did you see her?
We had fun time! Thank you! See you next live:)

    Aloha from Hiroshima, NAO♪
