Vegas

Well, we arrived late yesterday afternoon to a hot, dry, and dusty Las Vegas!  I can’t believe how dry it is here – my skin is itchy and my lips are already starting to chap!  We met up with Alex and Carla’s mom after checking in to the hotel and went to dinner at Billy Bob’s Steakhouse.  After dinner, we tried our luck at some of the slot machines and table games and actually made a few bucks!  There were very few people in the casino and the slot machines were not very good.  I was told that by some of the employees that the machines don’t pay out as much as before because business is so bad here in Vegas.  Hmmm … I would think that management would want the machines to pay out more in order to attract more customers …

I think we’re going to go shopping today before meeting up with our friends Granto and Rae for a few drinks to celebrate my birthday!  I’m going to try and get tickets to go see the Lion King at the Mandalay Bay Hotel while we’re here, and also make dinner reservations at my favorite restaurant, Rosemary’s.  If you’re ever in Las Vegas, make sure to try this restaurant – it’s awesome!

Aloha,  Lloy”D”
