It’s been a pretty mellow Sunday … went and played squash this morning and then watched Tiger Woods win the World Golf Challenge – that guy is unbelievable! We just sent off a demo to Japan which we’ve been working on for some time now, and which has been the most challenging project to date – especially for Alex! We’re off to Las Vegas after this week for some fun and relaxation … I’m really looking forward to it since we’ve been running non-stop since April! When we return, it’ll be time to start preparing for our September trip to Japan and hopefully, begin recording for our new CD!
We returned to Kani Ka Pila Grille last night after a month’s absence and it was like coming back home! We really enjoy performing there, although lately we haven’t been able to because we’ve been on the road so much. Oh well, things should start to settle down after September, so I hope they will ask us to continue our Saturday performances. We were a little sad last night since our good friends Nao and Chiemi are returning to Hiroshima on Aug. 22nd after living here for quite some time. Nao presented us with some beautiful lei which she made and we took a whole bunch of photos for her Facebook. Thanks, girls, for being such great friends and fans of ManoaDNA – we will see you in Hiroshima in November! (And don’t worry … I won’t forget your name! :-))
Aloha no,
